Whilst we remain dedicated to advancing Africa’s manufacturing capacity, strengthening industrial ecosystems and uplifting
communities through sustainable industrial development, we strive to spearhead the adoption of innovative manufacturing
technologies and techniques. Streamlining regional value chains and advocating for harmonized trade policies is one of our core

OUR VISION
To position Africa as a globally competitive manufacturing powerhouse through industrialisation, innovation, beneficiation, quality assurance and intra-African economic collaboration.
We envision the establishment of adaptable, motivated, creative, passionate, and principled manufacturing ecosystems that adopt intra-African trade. The foundation aims not only to revolutionise manufacturing in Africa but to simultaneously enable
continent-wide economic growth through establishing platforms and development programs aimed at empowering emerging and already established manufacturers. This is meant to improve their access to technical skills, production knowledge, and global
industrial best practices, enabling them to compete regionally and internationally.

Lobby for policy reforms to reduce trade barriers, improve coordination in logistics and harmonise standards across.
African countries while utilizing the African Free Trade Area as a framework to enhance cross-border trade. This is done through our engagements with governments,regional economic communities and industry regulators to drive the formulation of pro-industrialisation policies, streamline supply chain logistics and advocate for technical standards, tariffs and trade policies.
Trade Policy & Regulatory Reform
AMF lobbies for policy reforms that reduce trade barriers, harmonise technical standards, and improve coordination in logistics across African countries—leveraging the African Free Trade Area framework to strengthen cross-border trade.
Government & Industry Engagement
We actively engage governments, regional economic communities, and industry regulators to promote pro-industrialisation policies that support sustainable manufacturing growth across the continent.
Supply Chain Harmonisation
AMF advocates for streamlined supply chain logistics, fair tariffs, and unified trade standards to enhance competitiveness, efficiency, and market access for African manufacturers.

Facilitate intra-African and international market access and support the integration of African manufacturers into regional and global value chains

Undertake, commission and disseminate research, market intelligence and policy analysis relating to manufacturing, industrialisation, trade, investment and economic development

Develop, support or facilitate trusted manufacturing quality-assurance frameworks and certification systems, including the Made and Celebrated in Africa™ initiative and sectoral or regional manufacturing standards

Inclusive Participation
Promote meaningful participation of women, youth and other underrepresented groups in African manufacturing and industrial value chains.

The foundation has set its sights to not only revolutionizing the manufacturing
industry in Africa, but enable economic growth across the continent to be done
through targeted support for African manufacturers, industrial workers, youth,
women, and communities to ensure their active participation in Africa’s
industrial transformation.
