WHO WE ARE
The African Manufacturers Foundation in a non-profit organisation positioning itself to be a driving force and be the central pillar of continental industrilisation while championing a revolutionary, resilient and affiliated manufacturing ecosystem across the continent.
While dedicated to advancing Africa’s manufacturing capacity, strengthening industrial ecosystems and uplifting communities through sustainable industrial development, we strive to spearhead the adoption of innovative manufacturing technologies and techniques. Streamlining regional value chains and advocating for harmonized trade policies will be one of our core functions so as to catalyse Africa’s transition into a globally competitive powerhouse.
Through strategic partnerships, capacity building programs and the integration of smart manufacturing practices, we commit to unlock unprecedented opportunities for economic growth, innovation and sustainable development to foster a unified and prosperous continent where African made products are synonymous with quality, competitiveness and global excellence.
OUR VISION
To establish adaptable, motivated, creative, passionate, and most importantly principled manufacturing ecosystems that adopt intra-African trade in the essence. The foundation aims not only to revolutionise manufacturing in Africa but simultaneously to enable continent-wide economic growth.
It is the intention of the foundation to establish platforms throughout the continent and development programs that will empower emerging and established manufacturers by improving their access to technical skills, production knowledge, and global industrial best practices, enabling them to compete regionally and internationally.
OUR MISSION
The AMF has identified key areas to focus on its mission to ensure that manufacturing industry falls in the hands of Africans in the continent. It is for this reason that it has committed to establish adaptable and motivated manufacturing practices and facilitate the development of Africa’s human capital, industrial skills, and economic self-reliance by building strong, inclusive, and innovative manufacturing communities across the African continent.
The foundation has set its sights to not only revolutionizing the manufacturing industry in Africa, but enable economic growth across the continent to be done through targeted support for African manufacturers, industrial workers, youth, women, and communities to ensure their active participation in Africa’s industrial transformation.
OUR OBJECTIVE
Lobby for policy reforms to reduce trade barriers, improve coordination in logistics and harmonise standards across African countries while utilizing the African Free Trade Area as framework to enhance cross-border trade.
To engage with governments, regional economic communities and industry regulators to drive the formulation of pro-industrialisation policies, streamline supply chain logistics and advocate for technical standards, tariffs and trade policies.

We believe that Africa and its people come first in what endearvour we embark on and their right for self-determination, their right to humanity and dignity as well development of the continent.
We subscribe to the African philosophy that “If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together.” This resonates with our call for African manufacturers, business leaders and investors to make sure all that is African must fall into African hands.
We conform to clean governance, sound business practice and honesty above all else as well as accountability and translucent and strive to deliver on our commitments and promises.

Trade Policy & Regulatory Reform
AMF lobbies for policy reforms that reduce trade barriers, harmonise technical standards, and improve coordination in logistics across African countries—leveraging the African Free Trade Area framework to strengthen cross-border trade.
Government & Industry Engagement
We actively engage governments, regional economic communities, and industry regulators to promote pro-industrialisation policies that support sustainable manufacturing growth across the continent.
Supply Chain Harmonisation
AMF advocates for streamlined supply chain logistics, fair tariffs, and unified trade standards to enhance competitiveness, efficiency, and market access for African manufacturers.
